Dear Formal Grammar attendee ---

We're writing to you to draw your attention to the dates that
ESSLLI student accommodation is available here at Nancy, to prevent a
possible misunderstanding.

Many of you are attending ESSLLI as well as Formal Grammars (FG), and
some of you have booked ESSLLI student accommodation with us.
This message is only relevant to such people.

Please note that the student accommodation is available from Saturday 7th
August (from 9am) till Saturday 21th of August (till noon).  That is, these
rooms are *not*, repeat *not*, available on the night of Friday 6th August.
(Sorry but this is a restriction that is imposed on us by the student 
accomodation service.)

Now, FG starts on Saturday 7th August. Unless you live very close to
Nancy (say, in Saarbruecken) it will probably not be possible for
you to arrive in Nancy on the 7th and expect to make it on time for the
start of FG.  That means that you will need to arrange accommodation
for yourselves in Nancy for the night of Friday 6th if you want to attend 
all FG.

You can find pointers to a wide range of accommodation possibilities in
Nancy at http://www.ot-nancy.fr/anglais/sejour/index.htm. There are hotels,
a youth hostel, and even a campsite. It is probably a good idea to book your
accommodation for Friday 6th August well in advance.

By the way, the FG conference will be held on the main ESSLLI site, so on
Saturday 7th August those of you who staying on for ESSLLI can get their
ESSLLI welcome packs, pick up the keys for student accommodation, and so on.
